L.A.M.P. Presents
Annual Music Awards

The Louisville Association of Music Performers, Inc. presented its Eighth Annual Godfrey Radford Music Awards at Central High School auditorium on April 24.

A high point of the ceremony came when the West Louisville Boys Choir sang "Lord I Want to Be a Christian." Their a cappella rendition of the beloved gospel song earned for them two standing ovations.

Winners of the L.A.M.P. awards were:

Performer of the Year: Jerry Green & Friends.

Best Gospel Performer: Straight Company.

Best House: Ron Blumer.

Best Vocal Performer, Male: Jerry Green.

Best Vocal Performer, Female: Johnetta Hughes.

Best Rap Performer: Undaground.

Best Instrumental Performer:
Fusion.

Best New Performer: West Louisville Boys Choir.
