Falk -- Engineer David Blythe relates that Karen Mattingly has been in again to do a song demo; impressive dobro player Steve Crume and the South Dixie Boys cut a six-song demo; Ed Henritz and Tundra cut a demo of one of their tunes; Garius Hill recorded some piano show tunes; Barry Lambert and Total Control recorded a couple of original rock tunes; Sam Harris put together a sales demo for his management company; and the Falk crew did an on-location for the Bach Society at St. Francis.

Studio 2002 -- Rob Magallon says that the WQMF "Test Pressings" show is generating a fair amount of business, as bands check in to put their best tunes down. From Radcliff, the rock group Blaydenz was in, as well as Louisvillian Tim Harper; David LaDuke returns this month to work on his album; variety band Rough Draft cut a sales demo; David Miller cut a QMF possible; Hugh E. Bir, Jr. worked on a demo tape for Homefront; Juliet's Diamond was in doing a bit of work. Rob also says that Madd Rabbitt's album is now out, as is Lareka's disc.

Real-To-Reel -- engineer Jeff Carpenter says that Larry Kennedy of Reaction Time is working on a solo project that involves players from Lexington's Velvet Elvis and Rasta Fish; sort of a joint Louisville-Lexington album project. Also from Lexington, Ten Foot Pole is still laying down tracks for their album; ditto The Reasons Why, formerly The Shakers; the band Brain Dead is now Mrs. Alfred and is scheduled in for album work.

Juniper Hill -- Owner/engineer Todd Smith reports that Roz Tate continues working on his album; a New York City trio, Domani, is producing a project for an interested label; Mike Jones, formerly of White Ray, is working on a solo album; the North Bullitt High School Choir recorded their spring musical. Cutting demos are; Gene Hedrick, country; Connie Fendley; Nancy Smith, contemporary gospel; Karen McCollum, gospel; Bobby Arvin and Band, rock; and Eddie Rooney and the CDG Band, rock.

Allen-Martin Productions -- J.P. Pennington has been using up lots of time with J.D. Miller; Shaking Family has been back in cutting possible new tunes for their first Electra/Asylum album; Debbie Tuggle wrapped up her album project; Margaret Cloud, a Lexington gospel singer has been making demos; Kenny Speakes is still working away; and Richard Wassom, a gospel singer from Florida, is cutting an album.

Mom's -- Howie Gano, engineer, is a tad busy installing a new 30-track Fostex recorder, but says he did sessions with Fire Dept; Mike Lunsford and band are still cutting; Christian metal rockers Bride cut some tracks; Rude Awakening, a rock band with a metal edge have been in; Byron Smith has done some R & B demos; and Greg Lee has cut song demos.
