Keeping Up With Will Oldham:

Will Oldham stars in the short film (15 minutes) called Pioneer that’s currently playing at the Sundance Film Festival. The film reviewer at the San Francisco Bay Guardian has a breif review at http://www.sfbg.com/pixel_vision/2011/02/14/ficks-picks-sundance-and-slamdance-11.

In addition to his film career and music career, Oldham has been 'referenced' in a cartoon - Jenn Sorenson's Slowpoke strip, which is about the gentrification of snacks. She has Oldham releasing a line of “Bonnie Prince Billie Pork Rinds.”

This one is for the foodies out there: Jim James and M. Ward have started a blog about crème brûlée, called The-Crème-Brû-Log (cremebrulog.com). The writing is, um, fanciful.

JK McKnight, founder and producer of the Forecastle Fest, has announced a partnership with AC Entertainment, producers of The Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Moogfest, Big Ears and more than 750 other concerts and events throughout the country. AC Entertainment will aid in the booking of Forecastle Fest, while McKnight joins the firm as Director of Sponsorships.

A limited festival, called Halfway to Forecastle, will be held in July, while planning is underway for the 10th Forecastle Fest in 2012.

Here are the sites for the roughly three-minute trailer: http://vimeo.com/19458674 and http://www.paulkmovie.com/
