Debra Tuggle Featured in "Ohio River Sweep" Video

Louisville singer-songwriter Debra Tuggle is featured in a new video produced for the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO). The public service announcement also features "River Of Mine," a song written by Tuggle. The song is being used as the centerpiece in the advertising campaign to clean up the Ohio.

ORSANCO is promoting its plan to clean up the banks of the Ohio, "Ohio River Sweep." The plan requires the services of thousands of volunteers. Because the commission lacks the funds to promote the plan, it fell to Tuggle and corporate sponsors such as Ashland Oil, which provided most of the money for the project, to develop the PSAs. Others who contributed were Motion Masters, a video and film production company headquartered in Charleston, W. Va.; Post Production Services, Inc. of Cincinnati; and Phil Copeland Music and Audiovisions of Louisville.

The commercials, which feature Tuggle as well as children from Louisville, Huntington, W. Va. and Ashland, Ky., will be broadcast on television stations all along the Ohio River.
