WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS

Charles "Luke" Blair is the co-op's 301st member. Hometown family and friends in Munfordville, Ky., have encouraged Luke to get with other songwriters and performers. He says he is always being asked to sing but would really rather hear someone else perform his times.

Luke is writing "whatever the inspiration calls for" and would like to find a collaborator. To quote Luke, "All I know is I like to write songs. . . If this is enough I would enjoy introducing some. . . " Well, Luke, that's more than enough. I sure look forward to hearing your material real soon.

Donna Marie Cary, from Owensboro, Ky., comes in at number 302 on our roster. Donna is a BMI writer concentrating mainly on folk, bluegrass and country. She has played for fifteen years as a guitarist and singer for bands and as a solo act. It's quite a drive for her, but she would like to perform on our Open Stage and audition for the Showcase. Just let us know your plans, Donna. We'll be glad to listen to your tunes.

As new members, you may have some questions concerning the organization or the music industry in general; please feel free to call me at (502) 893-0693 and I will be happy to help in any way I can.

Anyone interested in joining the L.A.S.C. or just wanting more information about the organization is welcome to call me at the above number and I will be glad to answer any questions and/or forward a membership application.

PLEASE NOTE: Again, I would like to encourage new members to include with their completed application an attached page with information about themselves. Our welcome column is the perfect place to "let yourself be known."
