Are You A Little Bit Country?

Lets hear those tunes. Several bands are actively looking for songs, so the LASC will be hosting another pitch session at the first meeting in August, on Monday the 2nd. This is your chance to have them performed. If your song proves itself on stage, it should be that much easier to pitch to a publisher or record label.

If you have pitched your song before and didn't get a response, remember that pitching is a whole lot like fishing; sometime you get the big one and sometimes you just drown worms, but whatever you do, keep fishing.

The last meeting was a successful pitch session featuring rock, pop and blues bands. Several songs out of the forty-nine played were picked up by local acts. The number and quality of the songs were very encouraging. LASC writers are definitely getting better at their craft. Keep up the good work!

Any one interested in joining the LASC or wanting more information can call me at 502-239-9200, and I will be glad to answer any questions and forward a membership application.
