Open Stages & Writers Nights

Mr. C, 1265 College St., Bowling Green, Ky. 42101: Open stage for writers and entertainers every Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 12 midnight. Phone (502) 781-8888.

The Rudyard Kipling, 422 West Oak St., Louisville: Monday-night acoustic open stage, starting at 9 p.m. and ending at about 1 a.m. In-person sign-ups start at 7:30 p.m. at TRK. Sponsored by Louisville Area Songwriters' Cooperative, hosted by Paul Moffett. L.A.S.C. members get first chance at the 15-minute slots on first and third Mondays (meeting nights). Performances are not limited to original material.

Butchertown Pub, 1335 Story Avenue, Louisville: "SongMarket," an open stage for songwriters, Tuesdays from 9 p.m. until midnight. Sign up with host Layton Howerton on the spot at 8:30 p.m. or call (S02) 896-8665 on Tuesdays between 3 and 5 p.m.
