Down On The Corner
By Paul Moffett

Derby comes late this year, so the chances for snow are thin, though not none. The music scene heading into the big day is packed with out-of-towners, taking the opportunity to catch a bit of Derby feaver while making a dollar or two.

After all that, there will follow a slow week or ten days without a lot of said out-of-town bands here, then we'll hit Abbey Road on the River, with every decent Beatles tribute band available hitting town. Keep in mind that AROTR is moving across the river next year, so this is your last chance to see and hear them on the Belvedere, thanks to a squabble between Gary Jacobs and the Galt House. Phew.

Your humble Editor continues with the thankless task of digitizing back issues and uploading them to the LMN website. The last three were October, November and December 1994. Featured acts are Endpoint, Karen Kraft and Gary Brewer and the Kentucky Ramblers.

That's what's news here. See you next month.

Have a splendid Derby Week.
