Some other news bits for ya:

• • Be on the look out for some new heavys in the area called Strych9. The band will be making their debut in Louisville on March 10 at Shockers. They just finished recording a CD which will be out soon. I'll keep you posted! Check out the band's website at www.angelfire.com/music/strych9

• Also, click to Contortion's website www.angelfire.com/ky/contortion12. I'll have a review of their new CD in next month's issue.

• Sen will be recording their debut CD in early March. Make sure you check them out at several of the shows listed above. I saw these guys for the first time at Tomaso's last month and I was very impressed! Reminds me of very early Metallica. Ultra chunky and heavy. (Ya know - remember when Metallica was still metal?!) Check out their website at www.angelfire.com/ky/SEN.

Cool news from Eddy Metal Productions:

Eddy has been authorized to announce a new concert series that will be staged very soon. Paoli Peaks and heavy music –the ultimate combination and a hardcore/thrashers paradise! Per Eddy, the plans are to feature 3 or 4 bands a show on Saturdays, probably twice a month.

In the winter, the shows will be held before and during the midnight ski session-in the main lodge-which I hear is very cool. In the summer, the plan is to have live music outdoors, where there will be extreme events such as downhill racing and more going on. The bands will receive free passes for skiing or snowboarding at a later date. Sounds way cool to me! Keep your ears open for more news about "Freaks at the Peak."

• • Also, I heard a rumor that the former LRS radio station may be returning - we'll see what happens.

Well, that's all for me this time around. I will have more news and several CD reviews in next month's issue.

There's something that I'd like to say- Let's all work together – not against each other – to make metal big in Louisville! I think that's a goal worth reaching for, don't you?

Please e-mail me at pitnews@yahoo.com with your show dates, news, and any other comments that you have. Thanks to everyone that sent stuff in. I'm outie -support local metal!!
