Lucent (formerly Sons of Thunder) is a multi-faceted local ministry that incorporates rap and pop music along with dynamic feats of strength to get across the saving message of Christ. Although I'm certain that to really appreciate Lucent you must see them live, this ten-song indie CD, produced and arranged by the band, makes for a fine tool of ministry. There's no mincing of words here - you get the gospel straight on, through plenty of Holy Ghost-inspired rapping and singing on tracks like "Spiritual Kombat,""Rage" and "Anointing." There are also a couple of worshipful ballads included ("Wind of Glory" and "Next to You").
