Burns Night Gala

The event not to be missed is Burns night on February 7 at Masterson's Restaurant. The evening will include a full Scottish dinner, plenty of toasts and live entertainment. I have played at this event in the past and I can tell you that it's lots of fun and a unique experience. After january 15, call first to see if there are still seats available (812) 945-7601. Doors open this year (as well as the bar) at 5:30 p.m, and the dinner/festivities begin at 6:45 p.m.

Attention Dulcimer Fans

The "Dulcimer Weekend" will be on February 6-7 at River Dam State Resort Park. Dulcimer music and workshops will fill the weekend. Cost is $189 a couple and includes two nights' lodging, three meals and concerts or -$6 per person without package. ‘What a wonderful weekend getaway!

Art and the Irish

"Threads of Power" is an exhibition by M. O'Rourke and Ian Fleming. The exhibition will continue until February 14 at the PYRO Gallery, 221 Hancock St., Louisville KY 40202. The opening in January had Irish music, some video installations and guests were told of the myths and legends that surround the ‘most beautiful hill in Ireland.'
