JULY MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS

We did not hold the first meeting of the month due to the July 4th weekend. Hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday!

Pres. Paul Moffett began our July 17 meeting by giving a run-down of the most recent details concerning the L.A.S.C. Songwriting Competition '89. (Be sure and check the contest information and entry form in this issue for the most current information on judges, performers and prizes!) Members who are involved with getting this contest together once again asked for help from anyone who can donate time, prizes or money; sure, we'll take money! (If you would like to help, please call me at 893-0693 and I'll be happy to answer any questions and/or inform the committee how you would like to help.)

The final hour of the meeting was a critique session. The session was filled with songs primarily still in the work stage and were critiqued as such. We followed the new critique guidelines which enabled us to play all songs submitted that evening. Thanks, members, for helping make it work!

August Meetings

August 7: Guest speaker, J.D. Miller, producer and engineer from Allen-Martin Productions.

August 21: Critique session.
