TWO TALENTED SONGWRITERS: Bill Ede, at right, posed for a photo with one of his favorite songwriters at the Rudyard Kipling Restaurant after an appearance on the L.A,S.C. Songwriter Showcase on September 2.
It was Bill's invitation that brought Townes Van Zandt to the showcase, but it was an unnamed newspaper editor who, through a complicated set of circumstances, did not include the photo of the deserving Mr. Ede in the October issue. Oh yes, Van Zandt graciously performed on the showcase, opening with his famous "Pancho and Lefty. " Photo By Tom Metcalfe
