Welcome, New Members

While autumn leaves were falling, our membership was picking up! Since the October issue of the L.A.S.C. Letter, we were pleased to add the following new members to our roster: Robert Alan Williams, Martha Pillow, John Ross and James Phares.

Robert Alan Williams, our 269th member, has quite a background as a lead singer for several bands since the late 1960s. These bands include: The Enterprise Vocal Group, Bennett Higgins & Crisis, and Area Code 502 Band. He is currently writing R&B and Top 40 material and would like to find a collaborator. Robert has expressed an interest in performing on one of our showcases. We look forward to meeting you soon, Robert.

I wish I could give you some background information on our 270th member, Martha Pillow, but I have not yet had the privilege of meeting her. We will introduce you to her in a future issue. Glad you have joined us, Martha.

John Ross is our 271st member. During the past ten years, he has performed with various bands, playing guitar and keyboard. John writes MOR, rock and country rock tunes and has indicated he would like to find a collaborator. Thanks, John, for extending your offer to help the Co-op in the future.

James Phares, a.k.a. Jim Norton, comes in at number 272 on our member roster. Jim has played in rodeo bands, big bands, ragtime/Dixieland bands and the Baton Rouge Symphony. He is now looking to book as a single act with recorded backgrounds of his own creation. Jim is currently writing country material and would also like to find a collaborator. Good to have you with us, Jim.

On behalf of L.A.S.C., I would like to say how important we feel each member is to the Co-op, and again welcome all our new members! If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (502) 893-0693 and I will be happy to help in any way I can. Also, I would like to mention that anyone interested in joining L.A.S.C. or wanting more information about the organization is welcome to call me at the above number and I will be glad to answer questions and/or forward a membership application.
