Buzzard Rock Twits Infamous Televangelist Couple

Mike Schroeder has informed me that that is indeed a reference to America's favorite televangelist couple on the title cut from the Buzzard Rock String Band's I've Got the Blues for My Kentucky Home LP, which was reviewed by Berk Bryant in last month's Louisville Music News.

The line is sung by Jim Webb in such a straight-ahead manner that it's hard to tell, without closer inspection, that the group is holding back laughter of the most mischievous kind. Schroeder says the words were changed "a little" to accommodate the gibe. (And all this time l thought you guys were traditionalists!)

Congratulations to the Buzzards on what might be some real national recognition for this album in the near future.
