WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS!

Three new members have joined the Co-op since our January issue of the Letter. They are Brian Goetz, Mike Browning and Melody Barr. They have received membership numbers 284-286, respectively.

I met Brian Goetz at our December 4 meeting. Brian makes his home in Seymour, Indiana, where he is currently writing and recording original material in his four-track studio. Brian's background includes working as a sound/light technician throughout high school and college, doing studio work at Berkley College of Music in Boston, and playing guitar, drums and synthesizer. With his application, Brian attached a very complimentary write-up he received in Home & Studio Recordings. The magazine reviewed a tape that contained twelve of Brian's original tunes. We look forward to hearing more of your songs, Brian.

I met Mike Browning after our January 15 meeting, but unfortunately it was just as the Open Stage was beginning, and I was unable to find out much about him. I do know he plays guitar and lives here in the Louisville area. I look forward to talking more with you, Mike, so we can get to know you better. Thanks for joining!

Betty Lou Sherrard requested a supporter membership in the name of her granddaughter, Melody Barr. What a wonderful idea, Betty! Thanks for believing in the Co-op.

Speaking for L.A.S.C., I would like to say how important we feel each member is to the Co-op! If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at (502) 893-0693 and I will be happy to help in any way I can. (If you leave a message on my answering machine and I do not return your call, please call again as my machine sometimes doesn't cooperate).

Also I would like to mention that anyone interested in joining the L.A.S.C. or wanting more information about the organization is welcome to call me at the above number and I will be glad to answer any questions and/or forward a membership application.

PLEASE NOTE: I would like to encourage new members to include with their completed application an attached page with information about themselves. Our welcome column is a perfect place "to let yourself be known."
