L.A.S.C. March Showcase

"The Strung-Out Band" brings a new format to the March 3 L.A.S.C. Songwriter Showcase. Besides performing their own original songs, the band will back an all-star group of co-op members and guests. The members of the band include Bob Totten on guitar, Joyce Trammell on keyboards, Jeff Baxter on bass, and Eric Crawhorn on drums.

Marie Augustine brings her rich, high-energy vocals to the showcase. Lee Cable, a finalist in L.A.S.C.'s Songwriting Competition '89, and his favorite song stylist Robbie Bartlett will add to the mix. Also, Michael and Diane Kessler, just returned from their musical tour in Russia, will chime in.

Mellow Alan Morris and "Music Man" Charlie Walls complete the list of co-op members performing.

In the "special guest" spot, "The Strung-Out Band" presents Dave Troxel and Laura Davis. Ms. Davis has toured the country singing with her sisters. Mr. Troxel's grandmother, Ginger Callahan, was a local singing star.

Showtime is nine p.m., at the Rudyard Kipling Restaurant. L.A.S.C. members pay only $2, nonmembers $3.

Come on down to the show and hear the new tunes!
