Louisville's Music Industry Weekend

Put on your high-heeled sneakers, baby, 'cause we're goin' out tonight - and tomorrow night and the next night, at least during the weekend of November 2-4.

Starting on Friday night with a Songwriters' Showcase at the Holiday Inn Downtown and ending Sunday night with a sixty-band, eight-club extravaganza throughout the city, the participants in the second Louisville Music Industry Weekend will put on an all-out musical show.

Two separate Louisville music organizations are responsible: the Louisville Area Songwriters' Cooperative (LASC) and the Musicians' Emergency Relief Fund (MERF). Together, the two events will bring musicians and industry representatives together, as well as promoting Louisville's music to the city. Stories about each event follow.
