LASC Letter looks back at the November issue of:
1986
• "Premiere Party" announced for November 20 at 7:30 p.m. at The Rudyard.
• Debbie Tuggle Pendley phoned in to Metz Here on October 29 and discussed the LASC on the air.
• As of November 1, 1986, the LASC had 39 members.
• LASC amateur songwriters contest "in the works."
1987
• Dr. Paul Salmon spoke at the October 21 meeting on performance anxiety.
• October showcase featured John Dowell, Lee Ewing, Deb Reinhardt and Raven Skelton.
• Alan Rhody and Don Henry appeared at The Rud on October 9.
1988
• LASC, in harmony with the Louisville Workshop of NSAI, is bringing a little bit of Nashville to Louisville on November 19.
• October showcase featured Rick Butsch, Deb Reinhardt Leonard, Will Perryman, and Phillip Lee Burkhead.
• LASC membership passed 200; 2100 copies of the Letter mailed monthly.
• Frank Trainor headlined at the "Future Legends Showcase" at the Legends lounge in the Hurstbourne Hotel. Other performers were Charlie Walls, Tom Flood, Wally Hill, Stephanie and Bill Riddle.
1989
• Seminar to be held on November 18th.
• Jean Zimmerman, an independent producer/ publisher from Nashville, spoke to the membership on October 12.
• Larry Easton took top honors in Scottsburg, Ind., radio station WMPI's Kentucky Fried Chicken songwriting contest.
• Pen Bogert's picture appeared in The Courier-Journal from his performance at the Garvin Gate Blues Festival.
