John Michael Montgomery, at left, posed on his bus for a photo with his manager, Estill Sowards and Sowards' son Johnny, during a recent appearance at the Red Mile Race Track in Lexington, his hometown.

Montgomery has had considerable success with "Life's a Dance," the title cut from his current album on Atlantic Records. His video can be seen on CMT and USA Today has compared him to Garth Brooks.

"I feel we will be seeing and hearing a lot from this guy in the future. He's great," said photographer Joann Newman.

LMN hopes this Kentuekian takes his place alongside the many other talented and successful artists from the bluegrass state.
