Shows Of Note
Wednesday, April 26, 2017

I never was a Poison fan, but I do like me some Def Leppard. They are amazing in concert! I love the duo guitar work by Vivian Campbell and Phil Collen. It's mind blowing!! So I'm going to try to review this one.

The Eagles of Death Metal survived the Paris terrorist attack at  the Bataclan, even though the terrorists were looking for the "Yanks." Their road manager was among the casualties, so it affected them deeply. They're working on a film about the attack. In any case, note that they are not a death metal any in any sense. They'll be at Mercury Ballroom on April 28, with The Beaches opening. Tickets are $25 +. Listen to "Complexity" for a taste of what they do:

The Sugar Hill Gang with  Grandmaster  Dee feat. Kurtis Blow will throw it down at the May 2 Main Stage act for the Kroger Fest-A-Ville. Prepare to dance. Check out this oldie video of "Apache (Jump On It)":

Drive-By Truckers get the nod to headline at the  Kroger Fest-A-Ville on May 3. They've already driven past their twentieth anniversary, so all they have to celebrate is a new record, American Band. Frederick the Younger opens. Entry is a Pegasus pin. Have a look and listen to a recent show in Pennsylvania:
