A couple of items from VOCAL's newsletter caught our eye. We pass them on to you as printed therein:

Need female songs for Suzy Boggess and group songs for Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. One song per artist. Attn. A&R Dept., Capitol Records, 1111 16th Ave. S., Nashville, TN 37203.

Needing hit songs for Restless Heart. One song only, typed lyric sheet, SASE. Attn. Josh Leo, RCA Records, 1 Music Square N., Nashville, TN 37203.

VOCAL added these tips:

Don't forget to be a pro when submitting songs. Cue the tape up to the first song. Fold and wrap your lyric sheet around the tape with a rubber band. Be sure to put your name, address, and phone number on the tape. Include a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope).
