Tavani
By Steve Estes
Some of you may recall the soulful duo Peaches & Herb from the mid-'70s. Peaches makes her CCM debut here, but as Linda Tavani, with her husband Stephen (who penned "Love Don't Give No Reason" for Smokey Robinson).
Tavani's strength is in its songwriting, with a penchant for strong melody lines and dazzling vocal performances. This disc is loaded with groovin' R&B and soulful ballads sure to touch your heart and soul.
Favorite songs on this disc are "Love Me So Right" and "Answer the Call." With several discs in their future and continued growth, the Tavanis should be around for a long time to come.
