The Whole Shebang
The three Osborn sisters, who are better known as Shedaisy, invaded Coyote's on May 31 for a private acoustic mini-concert. Shedaisy has been one of the fastest rising acts in the country music business, with hits like "Little Good-byes," and "This Woman Needs." They are on the verge of toppling the Dixie Chicks as the ultimate female group in country music, though their music has more of a pop country sound that eventually could crossover into the pop charts.
I first saw them live at the Louisville Motor Speedway, opening for Alabama a couple of years ago, so I was impressed with how far they have come in just a short time. At that earlier show, they looked as if they had never performed live before that day. How the times have changed and so has Shedaisy. An acoustic setting, with just a couple of instruments and vocals and no special effects or lighting to hide behind, really exposes an act. Shedaisy shone like road veterans, drawing the fans to them instantly.
Their set had about thirty minutes worth of material, including a couple of songs from the new album scheduled for release this summer. They started with their first single, "Little Good-Byes" and ended with the rockin' "I Will....But." The songs that will come on the next album should continue driving the success of SheDaisy: I saw the fan reaction to them after they did some of them.
