13 Above the Night (Interscope)
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult

Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm just not being receptive enough. Maybe my vision of MLWTTKK was clouded by my disdain for their last album, Sexplosion. I mean, they deserve another chance to win my ear, right? No. I never should have opened the CD.

I never should have put it in my player. What compelled me to push the play button? I'll never know.

I've struggled through two of their albums now and still fail to find any threads of musical ability or overall value. Their music is supposed to be technodance, but the pedestrian beats are hardly worth setting your beer down for.

The most repulsive thing about MLWTTKK is their lyrics. Masochism and Satanism are examples of the topics covered and their message is anything but Just Say No. It's musical smut and it's not worth any attention it is given.
