Night of the Living Dead (Mayhem)
Jackyl
By Kory Wilcoxson
We can all rest easy now: The Jackyl live album is now available. What the heck inspired them to release this waste of sound waves? Who is the fool that deluged the band with enough letters to make them think this was a good idea?
The album itself is laughable. It has all their big No. 1 hits
like "Chief Rock-A-Ho" and "Redneck Punk," and the between song banter is unintentionally hilarious. The saddest part of all is that there is actually an audience at this hormone-drenched schlockfest.
Lead singer Jesse James Dupree says it best in the liner notes: "We are what we are — the t**d in the punchbowl." Expressed with true Jackyl couth. Let's all just join hands and pray that if no one buys this album, Jackyl will go away.
