Video Awards

The 1997 Miller Lite Video Awards, previously called the RRoyte Awards, were handed out our Coyote's on Sunday, March 9. Also awarded were Lifetime Achievement Awards in Rock and Country.
In the Rock category, Diane Williams picked a pair of awards, including Best Overall Video. In the Country category, Michael Parsley's "Beggar on the Street of Love" took Best Overall Video and People's Choice, as well as earning Valerie Smith Best Director award.
Marvin Maxwell was given the Louisville Music News Lifetime Achievement Award in Rock. Fairdale's Patty Loveless got the nod for Lifetime Achievement Award in Country. Her brother, Roger Ramey, accepted the award on her behalf.
Longtime WAMZ disc jockey Richard Braun was also honored at the ceremonies.
