News From The Pit
By Laura Karnes

Hey fellow metal-heads! How's it going? Read on for the latest news from the scene!

*Shapeless Matrix and Crazy Train played a couple of shows in late January at the Toy Tiger.

The shows got a pretty good turn-out and fans got to hear a couple of new tunes from Shapeless Matrix that were definitely jammin'.

*Hope everyone got to attend the Metallica/C.O.C. show at Freedom Hall. Please see my review in this issue.

*Creed and Shattered Reality played a show at the Flashback in late January, which also had a great turn-out.

*Speaking of Creed, the band is planning on going into the studio in a couple of months to work on their fourth project, so be listening for that. Also, Creed, Green with Gills, and Stoneflesh played a show February 21 at the Borderline. More shows are planned for March, including an all-ages show.

*My Own Victim and Creed were planning on playing a show at the Toy Tiger in February, but the show has been postponed, as My Own Victim is going on tour with Biohazard. The show will be rescheduled, possibly in April.

*Inhuman is back together with its original line-up. Hope to see some shows coming up soon!

*Stoneflesh is getting ready to go into the studio to work on some new stuff that I hear is quite a bit heavier.

*Dancin with Manson and Rathbone played a show at the Toy Tiger on February 26. Dancin with Manson is working on new material in the studio and is also planning some upcoming shows, so be listening for more on that.

That's about all from me for now. Stay tuned for news and reviews on My Own Victim, Faceplant, and Supersonic Butterfly in the next issue. Oh yeah, everyone get your butts in the pit at the Korn/Helmut show at the Brewery on March 17. It'll be ragin'! As always - support local metal! See ya in the pit!
