slo-movin' drone stuff
High Flyin' Kid Stuff (Zero Hour)
Shallow
By Brent Starkey
Shallow is from Overland Park, Kan., and features the vocal talents of Julie Shields (whose voice reminds me of early Lush or Altered Images). In fact, the music's not too far off-base from early-Lush — which might be a good thing, but can become tedious to listen to over the length of a CD. The title "Slowdrone" best sums up the sound of the music herein.
Not bad to listen to for background music, but certainly not my "thang." You can find my copy in the used-bin.
