Down On The Corner

Your humble editor has been spending far too much time on a project to enable libraries to have the LMN website available on a USB drive, under the title of "website on a stick". This required me to clean up all the code I wrote to put the contents online as well as cleaning up all the content, which had various issues, one story at a time. The USB drive has a server running on a Linux distro, plus all the content to display.

It was, as they say, a real learning experience.

It is, also, essentially an ego-trip, insofar as this means that the website should be around long after my family has forgotten to pay the hosting fee for the current online version. Even though we hear that nothing online ever “goes away,” in fact, it can become essentially inaccessible, which means the same thing for most.

I will post names of such libraries as agree to have the stick on hand, starting with IUS Southeast.
