Waterfront Wednesday show on July 30. This month, the free show features Steelism, Ben Sollee and The Deloreans, making for an interesting mix of styles. Now, Louisvillians know what Ben Sollee sounds like and how inventive and cutting edge every single thing he does is, so we'll leave that plug to your memory and imagination. The Deloreans are a Louisville pop rock band who deliver with a cheerful attitude, so that leaves Steelism, whose name is utterly appropriate the lead instruments are a steel guitar, though not played in the traditional country style so favored for years in Nashville, and an electric guitar. The band members hail from Mussel Shoals, Alabama and Nashville, so you know you have your chops and your soul. The band is climbing, with an array of singles and EPs to promote, plus a new, not-yet-released album, 615ToFame, to promote. It's due out in mid-September. Head on down to the Waterfront and catch this new act before they get really big and you have to pay Yum! prices (well, okay, Headliners prices) to see them.

Watch Steelism play "Caught In A Pickle" live :
