Monster guitar player alert!  Now, monster guitarists are not unusual in the Louisville and Kentucky area, but The Assad Brothers are a different sort altogether. While we celebrate, honor and are amazed by finger-picking wizards like Pat Kirtley and Tommy Emmanuel and various hot rockers, the Assad Brothers are Brazilian classical guitarists who studied under Andres Segovia. Sergio Assad is a prolific composer and arranger, who extends Brazilian folk music as well as exploiting the classical repertoire and focuses on the two-guitar combination. Together, they have innumerable award and credits  but the most rewarding is hearing them play live. At the Clifton Cultural Center, November 9. Tickets are $33 and $35.
