The Toronto-based soprano saxophonist, flutist and bandleader Jane Bunnett as transcended her Canadian upbringing by becoming an internationally known performer of jazz built around Afro-Cuban rhythms and other styles from that grand island. The Canadians have rewarded her with a stack of awards, including an appointment to the Order Of Canada. She's bringing all that excellence with the sax and flute to the Clifton Cultural Center, along with pianist Hilario Duran on November 16. As another show in the excellent lineup currently being presented by the Center, Bunnett's concert should appeal to the jazz-bereft citizens of Louisville. Tickets are $22 for adults and $20 for seniors.
