We might suppose that the chainsaw will be played by Jesse James Dupree when Jackyl comes to Jim Porter's on July 20, even if by now it's banal. It doesn't matter - there'll be fans in the room, even they are a bit long in the tooth and perhaps hard of hearing from listening to the band twenty years ago. The band makes Louisville stops regularly, the last being in December, if for no other reason than for Dupree to check on the distiller where his America's Outlaw Bourbon is bottled. They're touring in support of When Moonshine and Dynamite Collide, although there is a new album in the works. You'll have to check with Porter's for ticket info.
