You'll have your choice of reggae shows on May 26, when reggae/rapper Michael Franti and Spearhead perform at Headliners. May 26 is also the day for the kick-off of the Kentucky Reggae Festival at the Water Tower. Franti has been making music for a very long time, including any number of collaborations and has stacks of records to his credit. His activism also infuses his music and life, particular his quest for peace in the Middle East. His tour is in support of his latest, The Sound Of Sunshine, at least in theory, though he also just tours and plays as a means of being involved with humanity. Your best choice: go see Franti on Saturday and the Ky. Reggae Festival on Friday and/or Sunday. Tickets for the show are $25.
