So why wouldn't you call your rock band from Tempe, Arizona The Maine? Perhaps that's where they'd like to be, given the temperatures in Tempe in the summer. In any case, they're headlining a tour called The Pioneer World Tour North America with Lydia and Arkells at Headliners on April 26, promoting their third full-length project, Pioneer. Arkells is a Canadian rock band trying to break into the U.S. market. They just got home from SXSW before heading out on this tour. Lydia is another Arizona band that has just reformed after taking a bit of a hiatus and losing original member Mindy White, who is now in Nashville, working on her career. It's an all-ages show and tickets are $18 adv/$20 Dos.
