Surely, there's still some folks who haven't really grasped the fundamental sexuality of rock 'n' roll, but it is equally certain that none of those people are at all familiar with the heavy metal Prong, which shares a bill with New Orleans' sludge band Crowbar and Seattle's Witchburn at the Phoenix Hill Tavern on April 19. Prong and Crowbar have both been around since the late Eighties, with Prong getting a good ride until 1996, when Epic Records gave them the boot. They broke up, then re-formed in 2000, releasing 100% Live in 2002. Scorpio Rising the next year and Power of the Damager in 2007. They're promoting their brand-new Carved Into Stone. Crowbar is touring behind 2011's Sever the Wicked Hand. All together, it should be a good night for metalheads. Tickets are $15.
