The original Jane's Addiction lineup, minus Eric Avery, brings their Theatre of the Escapists tour to the Palace Theatre, along with Shrouded Strangers and Seether, for a concert on March 23. Given that Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro might well be poster boys for the excesses of rock throughout the Nineties and into the Aughts, that the band is performing at all is astonishing; that they have a new record, Theatre Of The Escapists to promote is even more amazing. Since the release of Nothing Is Shocking, J.A. remained at the forefront of any exhibit on "How to not live the rock star life," although they are now rather less wild and crazy guys. Look for a mix of old and new tunes at this show. Tickets range from $39.50 to $47.50
