Martin In The Fields with Joshua Bell, there's this: "Renowned for its polished and refined sound, rooted in outstanding musicianship and boasting a bold conductor-less format, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields is one of the most beloved (and recorded) chamber orchestras in the world. Now on tour with Music Director and virtuoso violinist Joshua Bell, the Academy will perform a crowd-pleasing, all-Beethoven program in the acoustical brilliance of Whitney Hall an April 18." Hard to improve on that for a description. For the classical music-starved patrons in town, tickets begin at $30.
