Ah, jam grass, thy name is Greensky Bluegrass. GSBG describes their sound as “their own version of bluegrass music, mixing the acoustic stomp of a stringband with the rule-breaking spirit of rock & roll." Here is where I am supposed to assert that their music is "not quite bluegrass" but since I am a longtime fan of Newgrass Revival, I'll pass on having that argument again. They'll be at the Mercury Ballroom on October 18.  Tickets are $20/$25. Here's a recording from a stream from the LOCK'N Festival in August:
