The funky rock band Alabama Shakes, fronted by the extremely talented Brittany Howard, will offer a show for you at Iroquois Amphitheater on July 30. They're touring in support of their second (!?) album, even though it seems like they should already have three or four. Recall, if you will, that when they got national notice when "You Ain't Alone" was posted as an MP3 on the industry-oriented music blog Aquarium Drunkard. Industry attention was immediate and they received quite a number of record offers. "You Ain't Alone" wound up in a Zales Christmas in 2011 commercial and the band was on the road, with only a four-song EP to sell. The new album is Sound & Color. However, if you want tickets, you better have a really special friend, as the show is SOLD OUT. Here's a video of "You Ain't Alone" for consolation:
