Loudon Wainwright III, father of musicians Rufus, Martha and Lucy Wainwright,  will be back in town at the Clifton Center on October 14. As a man who was exposed to Tom Lehrer and Stan Freburg as a child, he has turned out to be surprisingly normal, if a bit off-the-wall at times. Note that his big hit was "Dead Skunk (In The Middle Of The Road)," way back in 1972. His songs over the years have proven to be deeply personal and introspective, sometimes to the point of painfulness, particularly regarding his children.
