The first weekend in August is rescued from the drought of non-major acts by the appearance of Lyle Lovett & His Large Band in Whitney Hall, Kentucky Center on Sunday, August 2. Lovett has not brought his Large Band here since 2008, when he would rehearse in the Brown Theatre for some days before the show. He hasn't released any new albums since 2012's Release Me, but that's okay, as he has plenty of material to entertain you. Tickets to the show are $35 and up.
