A man sometimes labeled the "Godfather Of Punk" (for his band Jonathan Richaman and The Modern Lovers) but who now plays solo acoustic songs, Jonathan Richman, will be back at Zanzabar on March 6. Richman has long had a seriously earnest cult following but his status has risen thanks to appearances on Late Night With Conan O'Brian as well as his turn in some Farrelly Brothers films. Many punk and alternative rock bands acknowledge his influence. He has a considerable stack of records and famous songs, most notably, "Roadrunner," which has been covered many times.
