Wes Scantin, founder and sole original member of Puddle Of Mudd, is getting a little long in the tooth to be upholding his band's reputation for hard partying, but the Halloween gig at Phoenix Hill Tavern may offer too much temptation for the forty-two-year-old singer to resist. Five studio albums into a twenty-three-year career seems to be rather short, but the band makes the most of the music they have. Their first studio album, Come Clean, sold five million copies and peaked at #9 on Billboard's Top 200 chart but that was the height of their sales. Given their regular stops in town, expect a crowd of fans. Their latest is 2009's Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate. Tickets are $20.
