Your New Year's Eve show for WFPK-style cutting-edge  music is at the Palace, with Jason Isbell and Shovels & Rope. Around these parts, Isbell, isn't so cutting-edge as he is as familiar as old shoes, having been through town a lot over the last few years, usually playing at Headliners. Shovels  & Rope have likewise made themselves better-known to Louisville fans by way of a series of semi-annual appearances in town over the last couple of years. So maybe it's not so cutting-edge as it's sure to fill the Palace. Tickets are $45.
