Relient K has somehow manged to straddle the rather wide gap between Christian punk rock and the secular version, which is no mean feat, considering that the number of artists that have managed that trick is in the very low digits. They have done this without giving up fans - or chart action - on either side of the divide, with three of their last four albums hitting No. 1 on the Christian chart while peaking fairly high (15, 6, 15) on Billboard's Top 200. Of course, like most of the rest of the industry, CD sales are down, with their last Gold (500,000 sales) record coming in 2004. They're currently on tour with what amounts to a 10th Anniversary Tour for that best-selling Mmhmm album. For this tour, they will be rejoined by former drummer Dave Douglas. The tour stops at the Mercury Ballroom on October 30, with From Indian Lakes and Blondfire opening. Tickets are $18.50 adv/ $23 Dos.
Relient K doesn't have many videos but here's a Nada Surf cover "Inside Of Love":
