Origin, with  King Parrot, Beyond Creation, Your Chance To Die and End It With A Shotgun taking the stage beforehand. Origin gets plaudits for the high level of technical skill that they use to get a harsh sound, with some odd time signatures thrown in just for ... the hell of it. In spite of their apparent disinclination to self-promote (no official website!), they have achieved a level of notoriety that has allowed them to persevere, which includes - at this count - six studio albums, the last, 2014's Omnipresent. The band comments  "Omnipresent is a culmination of 15 years of technical death metal brutality that transcends definition."  Origin has undergone a considerable number of personnel changes, the most recent, a loss and replacement of the lead vocalist. At this point, there is only one original member, Paul Ryan, playing in the band. They'll be at Diamond Pub on September 7. Tickets are $18.
