"There are so many things that should be said for this band, but mostly it’s the band you want to be in. You want to be friends with the bearded bass player in the ski beanie, the aloof singer/guitar player with the mustache that everyone in dirty America is sporting this year, the only girl in the band that plays violin, guitar and can sing, sing sing!" - Chloe Gomez, AllstonPudding.com

Clearly, there's something in the water or in the air or the coffee in Seattle that makes folks crank out hippie bands. Maybe it's the rainy weather that causes singer-songwriters to be all moody, smoke a lot of reefer and write deep philosophical songs with an ironic edge. In any case, another of those bands is headed to the Iroquois Amphitheater  on September 25.The Head And The Heart, which came together in 2009, is touring in support of their 2013 Sub Pop album, Let's Be Still. You might have heard their music without knowing what it was: their tunes have been on "Chuck", "How I Met Your Mother," "Sons Of Anarchy," "Hart Of Dixie" and one of them was the backing for the theater trailer of Silver Linings Playbook.  Head over to Iroquois and check them out; tickets are $30.
