David ‘Sailor’ Bryant, former leader of My Own Victim and currently fronting Surviving Thalia, has joined Caldera as lead vocalist. His debut with the band will be on September 20 atThe Brewery Thunderdome with Snaked Eyed Savior, Kavehill, Descention and Lucifer Complex.
Record producer Jerry Finn, 39, died on August 21 following a massive brain hemmorhage in July. He was removed from life support on August 9. Finn was the producer for many albums by current performers, including AFI, Bad Religion, Blink-182, Alkaline Trio, MxPx, Rancid, Green Day, Sum 41, The Offspring and Morrissey.
Hatebreed’s publicist sends words that there are four free tracks from the band’s new project posted on their Myspace page. The tracks are as follows:

“I Will Be Heard”
“Live For This”
“All 4 tracks are now posted on the band’s official MySpace page (www.myspace.com/hatebreed) and also on their official website (www.hatebreed.com). The tracks will be available until 8/25/08, after which the EP will be made available on iTunes for purchase.”
Slint’s songs seem to have more legs than would seem reasonable for a band with as thin a discography as Slint, but, hey, that’s why they’re a famous cult band.
